Application
Western Blotting Analysis: 1 µg/mL from a representative lot detected PIDD in 10 µg of NIH/3T3 and PC-12 cell lysate.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution, a 1:500 dilution, and a 1:1,000 dilution detected PIDD in HeLa, A431, and NIH/3T3 cells.
Anti-PIDD Antibody, clone 1511.1 is a highly specific mouse monoclonal antibody, that targets p53-induced protein with a death domain & has been tested in western blotting & ICC.
General description
p53-induced protein with a death domain (PIDD) is also called Leucine-rich repeat and death domain-containing protein (LRDD). PIDD is involved in apoptosis downstream of the tumor suppressor. PIDD is a component of the DNA damage/stress response pathway in which p53/TP53 is associated with apoptosis. PIDD also aids in the activation of the transcription factor NF-kappa-B, and CASP2 which regulates apoptotic pathways.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to human PIDD.
Other Notes
Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
Physical form
Purified mouse IgG1κ supernatant in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.
Format: Purified
Quality
Evaluated by Western Blotting in HeLa cell lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: 1 µg/mL of this antibody detected PIDD in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate.
Specificity
This antibody demonstrates specificity for isoform 4, but may detect isoform 1, 2 and 3. It will not detect isoforms 5, 6, and 7 based upon immunogen design.
